WELCOME

My name is Jorge Enriquez Montero, I was born and raised in sunny Fort Lauderdale, FL. From a young age art has always been my true passion. My favorite past time as a kid was drawing my favorite superheros and cartoons. As the years progressed I developed my artistic skills by taking all the art classes I could find, and helping me to stay creatively fulfilled while simultaneously helping me to continue to grow and learn.

Before I ever encountered Adobe Illustrator 9 and Adobe Photoshop 5.5 for the first time at the age of 13, I had a knack for creating unique designs but these programs have only helped me to be more established and fashioned, and in this way I see the same artistic thread which has traced my whole life in these programs.

In the most recent years I have started to get involved with independent film production and have worked with a few friends I have made in the industry of the years to produce and develop award winning short film. Aside from Visual Design, I am a water polo coach at South Florida Water Polo Club which is my other passion in life. If you don't see me behind a computer or video camera you can catch me in a pool training up and coaching local youth athletes.

I graduated from Northeast High School in mid 2005 from the Architecture and Design Program and started at Mercyhurst University a few months later in the Fall. I pursued a bachelor’s degree in Art concentrating in Graphic Design and a minor in Web Design. In the fall of 2009 I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree.

My degree taught me vastly about the web and the industry as a whole. It also let me refine and hone my design skills to a greater level. On top of learning key design principles, there was a heavy focus on the development of easy to use with a strong focus on design, this is where I found my love for striking design in all mediums.

While doing freelance work through college, I interned at Cohen & Company Creative Advertising in the summer of 2007, which put me in a real world environment for designing on an industrial scale.

After I finished my internship, I was offered a job to be a Production Artist at Cohen & Company Creative Advertising when I returned next summer after my junior year.

After graduating in late 2009, I continued to work with Cohen & Company Creative Advertising as a Senior Graphic and Web Designer. until 2012 where I parted ways to work as a freelance designer. Freelancing I learned to find and maintain my own clients. After almost two years of freelancing, I returned back into the corporate world again where I was working with Teads.tv as the Sales Web Designer managing and supporting the entire South American Region (LATAM). Here I further refined my skills, working with multiple offices in different time zones with multiple clients ranging from Jaeger LeCoultre, Volkswagen, Uber and Time Warner , as well as many other large and small clients.
